GT's Triple Double saves the day.

Had another great weekend fishing the ditch. Had the opportunity to row and fish with a good
friend and fishing buddy. As you will notice below, he introduced me to the very unconventionional
(to me, anyway), GT's Triple Double. Holy crap, did the fish devour this little morsel. They are on this
all afternoon, fished single or behind an attractor. I would have never guessed, but should have never
doubted. Anyway, on a spectacular, sunny beautiful weekend, fall fishing was at it's finest.

Didn't do very well getting photo's this weekend as the hands were on the oars most of the time. We
will be back at it next week.

Back to the Ditch after a week off.

Can't wait to get back on the water after what seem like an eternity, but it was only 10 days.
I hate taking off weekend to travel for work, when the fishing is good, damn, that kills me.
how will I reach the 80 fishing day mark!

Forcast's are calling for overcast and cooler tempatures. Could mean throwing few streamers
to warm up the arm. Would be nice to wake up some of the big, fat summer browns and rainbows
to a big meal.

What to do next weekend? Too many choices....

An afternoon to enjoy the Drake, a few PBR's and a cigar.
Enjoying the morning, having just washed the boat and gotten her all pretty for the next
adventure. She always looks so good with a fresh blasting of 303 to shine her up.
Now the big question, which river do we choose next, Colorado (upper or lower),
Roaring Fork, Gunnison or back to the Ark. Too many choices....  We are leaning
toward a trip over to the lower Colorado, by looking at the graph, they have had a
few afternoon showers. Plan 2- upper Colorado to see the freinds at Rancho Del Rio and
KK's BBQ. Has been a couple of years since we floated the upper river.

A weekend away from the river

Remembering our float on the Dearborn River
Man I hate taking a week away from the river during a great time of the year.
Had to sacrifice a week away to prepare for a week of travel with work and
do a few chores around town and the house. One of the weekend chores was
to pick up the recently repaired Winston rod. Good to have the "baby" back at
home. Other chores included looking for new photo editing software. So many choices,
so little knowledge.
One of the other chores I started was a clean up of the "events and trips" photos.
Getting rid of old, crappy photo's from the year and years past. Got to make more room.
Came across this photo of the Dearborn River and it just made me smile, oh what a good
time we had on the river, and oh how beautiful.

Few more scenes from the Labor Day Weekend

Ms. Floatfisher with a nice bow.

Can only show you the tail, fish in witness protection program.

Ms. Floatfisher take a swim.

Well the game is officially on, Ms. Floatfisher has stupped to a new low, by hitting a rock and
falling out of the rowers seat all in effort to fish more and not row. Coupled with my " rowerticulitus", the wicked game to see who rows is on. This will tell you how good the fishing is , if you are will
to throw yourself out of the boat, so you do not have to row!

Enjoy some nice shots of the Labor Day weekend.

"Doc of the Drakes" by Silver Creek Outfitters

A very good friend of mine shared this video with me yesterday to put things in perspective and enjoy everyday. I think Dr. Robert Fisher and the boys at Silver Creek Outfitters capture its well. Take a couple of minutes to enjoy.
