Wow! That Sums up the Fishing!

Colorado has treated us to some unbelievable weather for the 

last week or so, and that being so, I decided to take off a few 

extra days. Wow, it is hard to believe it is March we were

in short sleeve shirts and even shed the waders a day in the boat.

That never happens this time of year. I'll take it.

We had midges, beatis, stones,  just a sorgesborg of food

to throw at these fish. Sure was nice to catch fish on dries!

 A nice rainbow on the stonefly.

Had the chance to spend the day with our great friend Darlene,

fishing, rowing and a little non-sense on the river. HOOKED UP.

BWO''s-Bout Sums it up

Day three and the BWO's have been coming off like clockwork. Fish are on a nice feeding pattern on them , if we can keep the wind down. Stay tuned for some photo's of the excursion. Got to get the boat ready for another dreaded day.

Off Grid- Computer Down!!

Well it has been a long time since I have had an issue with posting or my computer. Floatfisher will be
taking an extended week of fishing, floating and hopefully some photo's. Weather is supposed cooperate and be in high 60's . If all goes well, hope to be back on line Thursday next week.

Sights from this Weekend-

This weekend afford us some beautiful sights. Floated our favorite stretch on Saturday and were 

treated with highs in the 70's, sights like this and decent fishing. Sunday would prove totally differant

with a cold from moving in and high winds, but the baetis emergence came on in full swing, fish were

chowing down. If you could cast, you were rewarded.

Floatfisher in Action

 Floatfisher takes to the river for some wade fishing and some "action". Fishing started off 

fast and furious and did not let up. Always nice to have these days, especially since the day 

prior was exactly the opposite.

Although I have no stealth skills, and could not sneak up on these Rocky Mountain sheep,

it is always nice to see these each weekend. Hard to see in the crappy photo, but two sheep

have the radio collars on, #16 and #44. 

Weekend Float-

 Ms. Floatfisher on the sticks on a bluebird day. Fishing was only so- so , but as you can see,

sunscreen was the ticket of the day.

 Rowers eye view, the river is in great shape. We are ready for the beatis it start popping and not far 

away from the famed Caddis! Damn, that means all the people. Poop!

 Jump rock and the glassy pool, would have pulled them high and tight with a plunge today.

Day Two - Switch Rod Practice

Got the opportunity to fish with my good buddy Jim for the day,

although the weekend was not perfect, Sunday allowed for a 

little more practice with the switch rod.  Although the casting

was ugly, I mean step sister, Ugly. Fish were caught and a few 

photos were taken.
