Fly Pattern of the Day- " Doc's Cork"

Inspired by Doc Thompson, conservationist and guide from High Country Anglers in New Mexico,
this fly was designed with three criteria's in mind:
Easy to Tie
Catch Trout
Long Lasting/ Durable

Doc's Cork
Hook: TMC 2312, Sz: 6-14
Thread: UTC 70 Orange
Abdomen: Orange Razor Foam
Foam Wing: 2mm Orange Foam
Hair Wing: Elk
Hackle: Grizzley Saddle Hackle
(after each step use dab of super glue for extra durability)

Fly Pattern of the Day- "Mylar Prince"


A nice pattern originally tied by Curtis Fry. Again, a very simple tie
with materials every one should have in thier arsenal already. Trout will
eat like candy.

Thread: Olive 8/0
Bead: Black Tungsten
\Tail: Black Goose Biot
Abdomen: Olive Mylar Tinsel
Rib: Small Hot Yellow Wire
Thorax: Peacock
Wing: White Goose Biot

Fly Pattern of the Day- Chartreuse Midge


Post a couple years back, but still a very effective midge pattern for all water, especially tailwater fisheries.
Easy to twist series of flies.
