Baby "Adipose" made his arrival on Saturday morning. Ms. Floatfisher delivered without any
complications and as you can see by the smile on her face, she was ready to attend to him (row)
right away.

In addition to breaking in the new boat, we had a brand new Sage One to wet the cork and put a
bend in the graphite. Always like when the first cast reveals a cookie cutter brown. Amen!

Weekend Excursion to St. Louis

Another partial weekend away from fishing, Went to wonderful St. Louis for a wedding for Megan and Christopher. The weather cooperated nicely, or at least at nice as it could. Low to mid 90's and mid 40's on the humidity. Not to bad for a fat man.
Did the touristo gig and saw the Arch while in town, as you can see it was spectacular.
Can't pass up a good Sushi house when in town, Fish was good and fresh and had a few Kirins to wash it down.
Couldn't stand not fishing, so went down to the local Bass Pro and got a Carp rod to catch some overpopulated Asian Carp from the Missouri River. When In Rome.

Flashback Monday-

It is not often you get to fish with a "legend", but I did. a couple of years ago, I had the distinct pleasure
to fish with my dear friend Greg Garcia. Not only a good fisherman, a great and noted flytier but a
true gentleman. Had the pleasure to treat him to his first day float fishing, what a day. A lot of these
memories were stored.. That smile might still be on his face.

"Flyfishing is a Joke" by Henry Harrison

Although the video is now over 1 year old, Henry did a masterful job of the joys describing of flyfishing. I could not have put his words better. This project was done to complete his thesis of the MFA program for the Science and Natural Filmaking at Montana State University. A little long, but excellent. Enjoy.....

All in the Family

Fishing runs deep in the family tree, the Haag and Kuchynka family
continue to pound the water and produce nice fish.  By the photo's
Montana is offering some nice fishing right now.

Get up on it!

Ken with a couple of Beaverhead beauties.

We also have a new Hyde Driftboat strategically placed in Idaho Fall with my

Pictures from the Ditch- # 9

Another superb weekend on the ditch, and a terrific long 4th of July weekend. Finally the monsoon
rains decided to show up drop a little well needed moisture. Although it dicolored the water a little, the fish enjoyed the very slight drop in the water temperature.

"Trixie" was the fly of the weekend, and the larger fish were certainly fond of her. She could shimmy and shake in all the right places.
Ms. Floatfisher with " Trixie and Brownfish"
Sunrising for another great day of fishing.

Big News, Big News- Floatfisher Expecting

Just got the ultra sound and Ms. Floatfisher is expecting a new 10'-6" Fat Boy soon. Placed the order this week for a new addition to the family, our only child was very lonely and was needing someone to
play with. Three to four weeks of very un-confortable summer heat to put up with, should be ready
for late August and fall fishing.

Happy 4th - Alternatives without Fireworks

A Happy 4th of July to All. With the dry conditions through out the west we will have
to resort to alternative methods of celebrations.

We will drink libations and ring the bell as we see fit. The more we drink the
more it could ring.
Dress-up- Ms. Floatfisher dones the fresh new fishing apparel from Simm's,
Check out the new fishing hat and cloak. Will it catch on! Maybe just for the wine drinking crowd.
And we will blow bubbles, tiny bubbles instead of lighting fireworks. Never say never. We alway
have alternatives out there. Happy July 4th from Floatfisher.

Fishing the ditch continues to be very, very good provided you get on the water prior to sun-up and are off by 9:30 to 10 am. Olive and Orange PMX's continue to take your fair share of fish. In addition,
don't forget to give a moderate sized nasty ole foam fly a try for giggles. They will slap it silly too.

For fun, get that boat on the water for a happy hour float, (4:30 pm to 8:30 pm) fish were silly after the caddis along the grassy banks. Also, not a sole out on the water. All the guides are off the water, they can only work 8 hours and the other serious fisherman always put on your standard 7:30 to 4:30.
THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX!

"Osprey" by ARKive- a must see video

I thought I was a decent fisherman, but these guys create a whole new meaning to term "fishing". The view and Osprey's perspective is truly amazing, as well as the video photography. Check it out as well www.Arkive.org
