Warm Weekend has them Rising

Our nice warm, windy weekend got things rolling on some of the Colorado waterways, hopefully the
cooler weather coming in at the start of the week will slow the roll to allow a week a couple more weeks of fishing, before we have to all resort to the lake for the next few months.

Arkansas River- Today at 736 CFS, but dropping bit.

Colorado River at Glenwood- Today at 6230 CFS - steady

Rio Grande - Del Norte - Today 2800 and dropping, probably short lived.

It will be nice that our watersheds will all have water this year, and get a good flushing of all the silt and debris to clean them up. Stay safe out there around them.

Back in the Saddle

Hard to stay up with things now that it is work and fishing season again. Guess my priority to the
intranet is waning a bit and I need to get better. A quick trip to visit our beloved Missouri River over the Easter holiday did not leave us disappointed, but did remind us that winter never leaves Montana till mid to late May.
Low elevation snow pack, was adding additional water to most of rivers in western Montana currently, and the Missouri was not spared, normally, it would run 4000 to 6000 cfs , for our trip it would be pushing 11k, but that would be alright, as the Missouri can handle it and there are plenty of fish to spread out. You just have to know where to go find them in this higher water.
Luckily we know the right people to keep us in the know.

It did take throwing a little bit of all the arsenal at them at times, but well worth the trip.
