Congratulation to our good friends Ernie and Gloria Wemple as they celebrate there 50th
We have gotten to know this fine couple one the last 10 years. They exemplify true down to earth
genuine folks. I wish them the best, as this is a true milestone that many do not get to celebrate.
Congratulations Ernie and Gloria, true high school sweethearts.

Here is a little something to enjoy with your coffee as you look at the river this morning. We are

Fishing With my Good Friend Amy

Was jonesen to fish something fierce after a somewhat long layoff, and today it happened. The trend is your friend when the graph looks steady like this, it means the edges are clearing, fish are on the edges and looking up and hungry.

In typical fashion, the alarm rang, boat and rods where ready, all that had to be done was the shuttle,
can you you say done by 7 am. BAM, on the water throwing our good friend Mr. Sculpzilla, a fish chasing on the third cast the morning would be epic.

Rowed out of the good streamer water to the even better slow dry fly water, switch rods and boom cast # 1 is a fish. Or lady friend Amy showed up to with game. It was back and forth for 8 miles, lots of fish to the boat, silly season is upon us.

However, river is very pushy, you must be very careful if floating lots of new debris and obstacles in the river. A new season always brings fun.

All this and it is not even noon. We can do an evening float.

Toys R Us

It is time for the summer fishing season to kick it in to full throttle. Figured it was time to get a few new
toys for the toy box as it has been while. It's time to get the yacht on the water and fish, and quite jaw jackin' about it .
I have always been a pretty loyal Smith / Action Optics fan, but after a few recent disappointments
I have decided I would give the crew at Costa Del Mar a try. With a wide variety of frames and lenses, they cover the whole gamet of fishing. Have had them out on the water a few times and really like them. Costa "Squall" Model.

Added our 4th Hatch step child to the family this weekend, in preparation for our October steelhead trip, we will throw a spey line on this bad boy and also be used for tarpon next year. I am always thinking ahead.

Big bugs are in town visiting for the year, water is at the right levels, clarity is not perfect but fish are
eating single big dries. In my book it does not get any better than this.

Good Things

I alway mentor my team members at work that life deals the cards of life on her own terms and at her
own speed. Things don't always happen when we want them to, or at the speed we want them to. As the posting here on the Floatfisher blogsite, has been anything from stellar as of late, I have consumed
with work and interviewing for a new position with-in our company.

Finally after many years of hard work and dedication, good things happened, and I was elevated to the
position I have worked for , for many years. Being blessed to have a great job to allow me to fish in all
the locals that we so dearly love to, and put the number of day on the water that dig, this will only allow us to do that more and to other locations.

For others out their , good things happen.

Smilin' Pa Day aka Happy Fathers Day

Happy Fathers Day out there to all the Dads. What a great morning waking up on the river, spending
Fathers Day with my dad. Weather is great, water is dropping and family is together. Does not get much better than this.

Celebrate have a little breakfast, lunch or dinner with dear ole dad today and say "thanks" for
all the great thing he did for you, taught you, and the great values you brought you up with.

After all that is done, check out some of the the river flows, wow, moving in to prime fishing conditions. Should not be long till salmon flies and stones start filling the air? Hell yeah!
Big foam could be in your futures young man.

High Water Fun

Had to come home early to gat some work done, and luckily so, to beat the line of tornado's and storm's
cutting a line from Pueblo to Nebraska. On our way down the canyon we found a couple a great
play holes where the water was ripping at a mere 4600 CFS or so. Made for an exciting ride for
these folks and the young lad, glued to the bottom of the boat.

Buried at the bottom, not raft in sight.

I think these three guys were having the most fun of the boats coming through.

In Some Places

It won't be long till we get to start fishing nice big foam like this, maybe even gaudier.
Some with more foam, some with more hair. As long as we can fish 1-3x tippet and wing it in
the willows, its all good. Large fish will rise to them. Just a couple of weeks.
