Crab Creek- The Second Half

 After lunch the fishing picked up right where it left off, more and often. 

 From time to time we came upon pod of rising fish, this happened to be one of those times when Mary

was in stealth mode, and sneaking on her prey.

 Poof, it payed off, a nice chunky little red band. Say hello to my little friend.

 Ms. Floatfisher even put her eye behind the lens, and captured this stellar photo of a very feisty rainbow that did not want to be hooked. Amazing shot.

 And the payoff, but even better than the slots.

One last hookup for the day. Just to end the trip with a SMILE.

Crab Creek- A Hidden Washington Gem

Went to my wife's nieces wedding this weekend, and in true Floatfisher style we had to add a little fishing into the trip. Finding and fishing new water is always exciting, especially when it is a hidden

gem like Crab Creek outside of Spokane. Booked through our friends with Silverbow Outfitters, we were hooked up with Double Spey Outfitters guide GL.

 A beautiful unassuming creek that runs through the rolling farm fields, very, very unassuming, but relatively full of beautiful Redband rainbows. Another first for Floatfisher and the Ms.. This beautiful creek afforded me to brush up on photo skills, so the wife got movie star treatment all day.

 GL runs to net another one of Mary's fish. She kept him very busy all day

A successful day on the water lead to SMILES. Smiles leads to even more days on the river.

Floatfish is one lucky Chicken.

Fly Pattern of the Day- Zebra Midge

This pattern has been fishing very hot as of late on many of the rivers. Often mentioned, sometimes passed up as a go-to fly. Quite passing it up and use it. Tie it in different colors and fill your small box.
